The setting:

A house in Laguna Canyon, where the modern architectural elements of the house juxtaposed perfectly with the natural desert landscape of the countryside.

The scene was a perfect backdrop for Denimocracy’s Fall 2012 collection, themed “Beautiful Disaster,” which incorporates vintage bohemian aesthetics with innovative rocker concepts.

The styling:

Done by wardrobe stylist Cory Madley, the styling incorporated a perfect contrast of sophisticated and feminine elements with destructed and edgy details. Picture vintage corsets under modern street leather, perfectly paired with urban footwear and chunky jewelry.

Hair and makeup were done by Tiffany Saxby, a professional makeup artist who has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Madonna and Britney Spears. In fact, following the Denimocracy shoot, Tiffany is off to go on tour to assist Madonna’s makeup artist!

The photographer:

An artist behind the camera, Harper Smith added her feminine touch and brought the shoot to life. With a gift for working with natural light and shadows, she kept the models and crew laughing all day. A woman of conviction, she shot fast and she knew what she liked. And if all else failed, she had her line of the day; “work it out.”
